Afternoon Tea at Quelque Chose Pâtisserie - My Parisian Experience in Ottawa (Sponsored)
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Quelque Chose Pâtisserie.
When I moved to Ottawa, I discovered Quelque Chose Pâtisserie; a local bakery that specializes in authentic, Parisian-style
macarons. Sister-duo Julia & Michelle Dahdah, are the head chefs behind the
perfect pastries. Both are highly trained and talented pastry chefs (Julia
studied in Paris at L'École Grégoire-Ferrandi,
Michelle at Le Cordon Bleu here in Ottawa), and share a deep love for heavenly
macarons. Their passion for is evident with every beautiful creation they
release. It really is a work of heart!
Their display case is always full of a huge selection of vibrantly coloured macarons, ranging in flavours from Salted Caramel to Pistachio. They even have a limited-edition flavour of the month; January’s is Banana Split! Each one is light as air, but full of delicious, decadent taste. And they’re pretty much the cutest thing you’ll ever eat!
So many macarons to choose from, and they're all SO good! |
I was recently invited for an afternoon
tea experience at their Westboro location on Richmond Road, and I couldn’t wait
to share with you all just how wonderful it was!
If you're looking for high tea without the high prices, you've come to the right place! Look at that spread! |
When you arrive, you’ll be warmly
greeted by the wonderful staff who will treat you like royalty throughout your visit.
Don’t feel pressured to come dressed in your Sunday best; it’s a casual café environment
made beautiful by the lush pink, blue and gold décor throughout.
The whole table will be beautifully arranged with flowers, gilded dishes and a tiered-stand that’s practically bursting with delicious goodies! It’s pretty much the perfect flat lay for your next Instagram pic!
The Afternoon Tea Experience, in all its glory! |
The afternoon tea is $40.00 and includes
the tea of your choice, scones & croissants (with fruit preserves and rich Devon
cream), tea sandwiches (cucumber, smoked salmon and chicken salad), a selection
of seasonal fruit & pastries, and of course macarons! A gluten-free option
is available for an additional $2.
Alternatively, they also offer ‘Le Petit Afternoon’ (which includes everything
except the tea sandwiches), as well as a Kids’ Tea Party for the little ones in
your life!
Apricot parfait? C'est bon! |
Delicious, flaky croissants can also double as a moustache. In other words, you can't take me anywhere. |
