Supporting Canadian indie brands will always be important to me. I wanted to share with you all a company that I'm over the moon in love with!

Cake Beauty is a Toronto-based beauty company with a variety of hair and skincare products, all formulated with natural, cruelty-free ingredients. Every single thing smells good enough to eat! Seriously, you'll want to devour it all after taking a whiff.

I'm a big fan not only for their deliciously pink packaging and scrumptiously scented products, but also because their founder, Heather Reier, is from Kitchener!
If you didn't already know, I grew up in Waterloo (which is part of the tri-cities; Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge), so we were basically neighbors!

Earlier this summer I was able to score an amazing deal on a big bundle of Cake goodies for an incredible price (they often have great promos and bundles, so get on their mailing list to keep in the know). It had all of their most popular products - some of which I've tried, others I hadn't yet. While I've been loving all the products that I got in the bundle, these are the ones I'm absolutely, head over heels for!

Heavy Cream Intensive Hand Repair Balm - $22 CAD (100mL)
Also available in 236mL & 30mL sizes

This has completely changed how my hands look and feel. Before trying this, my hands were permanently dry. Every hand cream seemed to just sit on the top of my skin, and not penetrate to deliver the moisture when I needed it most. I always dread the colder months because my hands always seem to become completely void of moisture. But this year, I feel confident that I can fend off any unsightly dryness and painful cracking skin thanks to this restorative wonder!
I normally hate the feeling of heavy, greasy hand lotions, but don't let the name Heavy Cream fool you! While this has a whopping 20% shea butter content, it is also jam packed with wonderfully nourishing coconut, grapeseed, olive and sunflower oils. It may be a thicker consistency, but it's completely non-greasy and melts into the skin for moisture that lasts all day long (even with excessive hand-washing). I don't need to reapply, but sometimes I do just so I can indulge in its rich French Vanilla scent. Thankfully, a little goes a long way; I've had this since July and only just started making a dent in it!

The Wave Maker Texturizing Beach Spray - $12 CAD (60mL) Also available in 120mL size

My natural waves tend to have a mind of their own. When I let my hair air-dry, I like to give it some added texture with a spritz of The Wave Maker. Unlike other beach sprays I've used, this is formulated with sugar rather than salt! It doesn't leave my strands sticky or crunchy, and really gives my waves the perfect, touchable texture that looks perfectly undone. The perfect 'cool girl' hairstyle, if you will!

The aloe leaf juice keeps my hair soft, and the orange & tangerine oils add a yummy citrus scent. It smells exactly like lemon squares, and who doesn't want their hair smelling like that?! I've actually had a few people ask what perfume I was wearing while this was in my hair - my husband in particular, is a big fan!

The 'Do Gooder Volumizing Dry Shampoo - $19 CAD (200mL)
Also available in 50mL size

I had to save the best for last.
Folks...This is the BEST dry shampoo you will ever use!! And you can hold me to that! This is the third refill I've purchased because I truly cannot live without it now.
My hair tends to be a bit high maintenance since I like to keep it as pink as can be. This means I try to limit washing it to once or twice a week. Thankfully, The 'Do Gooder helps to keep my (not so)dirty little secret! It cleans effectively to reduce oily roots, and refreshes my style with a light vanilla scent. I really love the bouncy volume this instantly gives my hair, so it's great for refreshing curls from the night before.
Best of all? Not a hint of white, powdery residue is left behind! So whether your hair is light or dark, no one will be the wiser as to when your last hair-wash was!

I could honestly go on about my love of Cake, but I'll let you get shopping! Have fun exploring #CakeLand!
