How A-Peeling! Berrisome 'Oops! My Lip Tint Pack' Review
If you frequent
Instagram like most of us beauty-addicts, you've probably seen this
bizarre lip stain come across your feed at least once. Put simply,
it's very cool, and a little bit gross. I managed to stumble upon it
at Marshall's for $7.99 and figured I'd give it a whirl.
The Product
The Berrisome 'Oops! My Lip Tint Pack' is a thick lip-gloss/mask hybrid. The instructions say to apply along the lip line and let it set for about 5-10 minutes to dry. Afterwards, the product will peel off like snakeskin, to reveal a 'sweet and kissable colour'. How adorable.

My initial concerns
were:
“Do I want to wear
this colour for more than one day?”
“What if the colour
is hideous?”
“What if I stain
outside of my lip line and give myself a clown mouth?”
“What if
it won't peel off?!?!”
But the packaging was
so obnoxiously cute and pink, I had to put my worries aside. But I
did keep my concealer close, just in case...
I got the shade 'Pure
Pink', in case that wasn't completely obvious. There are 6 shades in
total, most of which I was able to find through a quick Amazon
search.
The Application
The fact that the
little cartoon lips exclaim 'oops!' was a slight cause for concern, I
won't lie. So to be extra cautious, I applied it to my hand first.
And I'm glad it did, because as soon as I opened the lid, the product
came pouring out. This indicated to me that a lip brush would be
mandatory later on.
The consistency was thick like corn syrup, but not runny. It is also the brightest, most neon pink lip product I've ever laid eyes on. I was excited and hopeful that the stain would be just as vivid.

You can tell I wasn`t too eager to put this on my lips. What a mess... |

The swatch in all it`s glory, 2 days later. |
Bare-lips. You can`t tell but I`m terrified of the pending goopy mess that will soon be on my face... |
The drying time was a
bit of a struggle. Do you keep your lips parted and drool all over
yourself and everything you own? Or do you keep em' closed and risk
never being able to speak again?
This wound up with me
getting the product on my teeth. I wipe it off immediately so as to
not give myself a new cotton-candy smile (In case you were wondering,
it does NOT taste good).
I left it on a total of
15 minutes.
Wet (lip) paint |
As previously noted,
the pigment was just as bright as when I swatched it on my hand. I
nice cherry pink shade! My lips didn't feel especially moisturised,
but they weren't parched either. After a few hours my lips did feel a
bit dry, but it was nothing a little balm couldn't help.
I will confess, I
cheated a little bit and removed it early. All it took was a little
coconut oil & my favourite Lush lip scrub to remove most of the
pigment. However, I did note a little colour stayed in the fine lines
of my lips.
Stained! |
Overall, I'm quite
happy with this product! It doesn't transfer at all, no matter if
you're kissing or chowing down on dinner. I would definitely
recommend this product, and I'm even considering picking up the other
shades!
Have you tried this
product? Did it work well for you? What shade did you end up with?
Let me know in the comments! I'd love to hear what you think, and for
us to discuss further!
