Hassle-Free Heat Styling! ISA Professional Digital Mirror Titanium Flat Iron Review

Heat styling has always been cumbersome for me. Because of my thick, wavy mess of a mane, I often have to run a straightener through a strand almost 3 times before it stays smooth. It's time consuming, frustrating and never seems to stay straight.

The folks at ISA Professional must have heard my groans of follicle frustration. They graciously sent over their Digital Mirror Titanium Flat Iron for me to review!

What's different about this flat iron is that the plates are titanium, instead of the standard ceramic. I truthfully didn't think much of this at first, but after a month of use I find that the heat distributes across the plates much more evenly than other straighteners I've used before.

The design itself is super sleek and lightweight. Truth be told, I just about smacked myself upside the head the first time I used it (If you remember the nickels in the phone prank from The Office, it was exactly like that). I guess I'm used to my previous flat iron that has a bit more heft to it!

The tip of the plates are rounded, so I can get right to the root without fear of burning my scalp. I really appreciate that I can run this smoothly along a strand  without it snagging on my hair - my last flat iron was notorious for this and it was quite a pain (literally!).

The LCD display is very easy to read, clearing showing the temperature in Fahrenheit. You can easily set it between 265-450 degrees with the easy to use buttons. Personally, I like to keep mine on a low temperature to protect my colour.

My natural hair texture; air-dried and a bit chaotic.
The thing I love most about this flat iron? I can get pin-straight strands in one swipe. ONE! I didn't think I could get these results without seeing my hair stylist! It has honestly cut my styling time in half, so I don't have to fuss over my 'do for longer than necessary. Plus I find my hair is actually holding the style longer than it ever did with other flat irons.

One pass of the iron on a 1-2 ich section. How's that for a strand test?!

Since I was able to straighten my hair with the greatest ease, I decided to try my hand at attempting waves/curls with it. While my hair has a natural wave to it, I always like it to have more definition.
While I've attempted to curl with a flat iron before, I either ended up tangled up in the cord or left with creases in the middle of the strand. I've also never used a curling iron on my own, for fear of singeing my fingertips.

This iron makes it easy as pie! I can get a perfect ringlet with the flick of the wrist, and the swivel cord remains tangle-free! I also received a heat-resistant glove to help protect myself, and take my worries away! The outer casing of the plates can get quite hot; safety first, folks!

Wavy or straight, this tool does it all!

No matter how I style my hair, this tool has become a staple in my hair styling routine!

If you're in the market for a new do-everything heat tool, I highly recommend you check out ISA Professional! And if you're looking for some beautiful hair inspiration, be sure to give them a follow on Instagram as well!
