I'm always looking for something special to gift my loved ones during the holidays. With Easter around the corner, the first thing that comes to mind is of course, chocolate. But rather than pickup the standard cheap & chalky candy, why not get something extra special instead? Something totally unique that no one else will have.

Two things I'm a sucker for: Chocolate and beautiful packaging. These are two things Alicja Buchowicz does incredibly well. As the head chocolatier behind her namesake company, Alicja Confections, she meticulously hand-creates unique flavour combinations for her signature postcard chocolate bars and bonbons. A single batch can take up to 3 hours of labour, as she always ensures everything is perfectly 'Instagram worthy'.
I'm not lying when I say it's the best chocolate I've had in ages. And quite frankly, the prettiest as well! I regularly pickup bars from her when I can (I'm trying to work my way through all of the flavours). While I regularly reach for her milk & white chocolate varieties, I even find myself reaching for her dark chocolate flavours which I'm usually not a fan of. They typically range from 54.5%-70.5% dark, so there's no unpleasant bitterness here!

While Alicja regularly makes appearances at events like the Freewheeling Craft Market, The CF Rideau Centre Flower Market, and even the One of a Kind Show & Sale in Toronto, you can often find her churning out candy at her boutique shop in the Glebe neighborhood.

With this super cute minimalist mold, Alicja has designed several one of a kind bunnies for your Easter baskets. I was so flattered when she gave me this pretty pink bunny to enjoy. It's going to make a great centerpiece at my Easter dinner with friends, and an even better treat for after!

No two bunnies are alike, so if you have your eye on one you like you better hurry over to the shop to pick one up for yourself! They even come with pretty pastel jordan almonds; these ones are coated in chocolate AND candy, so they're extra delicious!
I love that it's so different than the traditional (and admittedly creepy looking) chocolate bunnies we see lining the shelves at grocery stores. This makes for a great gift for the adults in your life, because who says kids get to have all the fun?!
