Daydreaming about a trip to the spa? Well, you're certainly not alone because this mama could use a soak, sauna and sangria; in that order. I've been spoiled by a trip to the Nordik Spa and I fantasize about it pretty much daily. But if running away to Chelsea to spend the day blissfully in your bathrobe isn't in the cards for you anytime soon, perhaps a visit to Vichy Laboratoires is the next best thing. It's just down the aisle at your local drugstore, after all (if you're still keen on staying in your bathrobe though, you can always shop online. I'm not here to judge, but I can't say the general public will be as forgiving).

Vichy Mineral 89 Fortifying Daily Skin Booster
- $39.95 CAD for 50mL or $49.95 CAD for 75mL at Shopper's Drug Mart
If you ask me what one single skincare product I cannot live without, this is would be the winner. Hands down.
I quite honestly recommend this to everyone I know that asks for skincare recommendations. Reason being, I don't know anyone who wouldn't benefit from this skin booster! It's such a versatile skincare product that you can truly tailor it to suit your needs, no matter what that may be. I use Mineral 89 year-round (though I bump up my usage to twice a day in the winter months, because colder weather = drier skin for me).
It holds its own very well as a moisturizer for those with normal skin types. Though if you really want the best bang for your buck, incorporate it into your regular skincare regime by using it as a primer for your moisturizer. It acts as a humectant to really lock in all that precious moisture. so you stay glowy & hydrated all day long. Plus you'll find you won't have to use as much moisturizer as a result! It's a skin & money saver all in one!
Vichy Liftactiv Hyalu Mask - $59.99 CAD at Shopper's Drug Mart
Not everyone has the time (or the patience) to sit down and wait for a face mask to do its job, and I respect that. Which is why I'm obsessed with the new Hyalu Mask, and it instantly made it to the top shelf of my bathroom cabinet.
This powerhouse formula works in just 5 minutes to give you skin that's just as plump and juicy as the ripest summer peach. All thanks to the magic of hyaluronic acid (you'll see this ingredient a lot in Vichy's lineup, and for good reason; it's like the nectar of the gods when it comes to skincare). When the timer runs out, you just wipe off any excess with a damp cotton pad. No scrubbing over a skin or bracing yourself for a painful peel-off. Just instant, glorious results!
Vichy Aqualia Light Cream - $39.95 CAD at Shopper's Drug Mart
Sometimes all you need is a good moisturizer to start the day off on the right note. And this stuff gets the job done perfectly every time.
Consider this a 'not-so-basic' basic day cream. Thermal water and, you guessed it, hyaluronic acid, pair beautifully in this formula to give the face a splash of hydration that lasts all day long. What I love most about this is the fact that it gives you all the benefits of a rich cream, without any heavy or greasy residue. While this same moisturizer comes in a 'rich' formula as well, I found that this is plenty hydrating for my combination skin (especially when I layer it overtop my trusted Mineral 89).
Vichy Pore Purifying Clay Mask - $34 CAD at Shopper's Drug Mart
This is another super-speedy skin treatment that I swear by. The combination of bentonite and kaolin clays work together to gently give your pores a good, deep clean. Unlike other pore purifying masks, I don't find my skin to feel uncomfortably dry after using this, I'm always left with that squeaky clean feeling we all seek.
Sometimes I use this as a spot treatment, other times I slather it all over my face (usually during that time of the month). I enjoy watching it dry down and seeing all the impurities surface like freckles in the process. It might remind you of another popular 'mud' mask, but just remember that Vichy's is not only half the price, it works super fast as well. WHOOPS, I just spilled tea everywhere while I typed that out. Silly me.
Vichy Teint Ideal Highlighter - $27 CAD at Shopper's Drug Mart
If it wasn't glaringly obvious by seeing the worn-off text on this little tube, this happens to be a very well-loved product of mine. Long-time readers of mine can tell you that I have a slight highlighter obsession, and this is where it all started.
This gives your skin that perfect, dewy, lit-from-within, I-woke-up-like-this gleam. It's a gorgeous pearlescent shade that isn't over the top (though it's buildable to blinding levels, if that's your preference). I really enjoy the rollerball applicator because you can glide it across the cheekbones, or dot it wherever you want a little extra glow. It doesn't disrupt any of your base makeup either, just melts in effortlessly and shines bright all day long.
